I was a late-night DJ at WICN-FM and remember the day we received Yello's "Solid Pleasure" LP at the station. Since the Residents were a regular part of my weekly playlist, I paid special attention to ALL records we received from Ralph. Those included: Yello, Snakefinger, Tuxedomoon, Renaldo & The Loaf, Chrome, Nash The Slash, Rhythm & Noise and MX-80 Sound. Thanks to Ralph, a few of my favorites today are: Yello, Tuxedomoon, Nash The Slash and of course The Residents. (I'm still trying to find my Mac OS9 CD-ROM so I can play the Residents "Bad Day on the Midway" video game again!) Bob Olson
I had a working relationship with the Residents at roughly the same time they signed YELLO to Ralph Records. They are a big reason Yello is well known here in the US. I tip my top hat to The Residents who have a deep appreciation for so many genres of music! Douglas Sandberg
