Media production products manufacturer Avid Technology (USA) has signed a letter of intent to purchase Deiter’s highly-regarded audio console company, Euphonix!  A press release about the purchase letter was made available by Avid Technology (a copy of which is linked here from Euroinvestor news).  The Avid press release does not mention Dieter, but Mr. Meier is the sole owner of the Mountain View, California-based Euphonix company.

Euphonix consoles are used to “command and control” many creative software applications, including Avid’s famous ProTools audio mixing software.  Yello use Euphonix and ProTools in their recordings, so this technology purchase is actually a perfect match.
