Quoting MikeZ <mikecz@mac.com>:
I am new to the list and this may have been answered before, but can
anyone tell me what happened to Ernst Gamper? I was a fan of his design and artwork. I have heard that he died. I was wondering if he has artwork that can be viewed or purchased? thanks. Mike
I had heard that he had died also, but previously wasn't able to find anything on the net about this. I have just had a look again, and found the Art Institute of Chicago web site (featuring a current exhibition). http://www.artic.edu/aic/exhibitions/easel/ex_themes/ex_themes.htm . An artwork featured on the page is listed as donated to the Kunsthaus Zürich (Zurich art gallery) by "Society of Zurich Friends of Art, with a contribution in memory of Ernst Gamper". It's not his artwork, but it's the first confirmation I have found about his death.
