The reviewer might be wrong about some things, but he's right about "The Eye". It's easily Yello's worst album and a big disappointment after the pleasant "Motion Picture" and the superb "Pocket Universe".
"On the point Yello drive it, by copying their own sounds in each second song simply."
I agree. The album is a poor rehashing of some of their earlier sounds, except without good songwriting.
"Only small light view is a singer Jade Davie, which strives itself fairly around nice melodies."
I disagree. Although her voice is OK on some of the songs, by the third or fourth song her presence becomes annoying and I've got to just take the CD out of the player. Don't get me wrong. I love Yello, but their "good" production is now below 50% over their career. I consider the good albums to be: Stella One Second Flag Pocket Universe Motion Picture The rest I can do without, but even Baby and Zebra shine in comparison to The Eye. Sorry I don't like the new one, really, I am, since I was expecting so much from it. But I will always buy the next one hoping for something even better. At least Yello doesn't do the same thing from album to album; it's just that I don't always like the surprise. Paul
