Thanks Julian and Casey.  Both sets do have a "0" on the front cover, so I guess that means Region 0.  I saw a copy of the gold/black one on Amazon.com (US) that does not have that "0" on the front.  Is it possible that one is more universal?

Mark,

Fairly sure those discs were European region specific.  My guess is that your DVD player was a universal (region 0) but that your new Samsung Blu-Ray player is region specific.  I feel your pain!

Subject: [Yello] Touch Yello using Blu-Ray

Hello all,

I tried playing the Touch Yello DVD from both the gold/black cover set and the newer complete set (with Anthology) and neither will play on my Blu -Ray (Samsung Smart model).  I got rid of my DVD thinking I would not need it anylonger (which DID play both copies with no problem).  Do any of you know if there is a DVD version that will play in that format - or if there is a blu-ray version available?  I had ordered both through  the Grooves-Inc site when they first were available, so not sure if those copies were European-specific.
