Nice track list.

These could all fit on one MP3 CD… I’m just sayin!

To be more specific, I thought, what are the songs that are pre-ESSENTIAL YELLO that could fit onto CD1 (1980 - 1991) - and what are the songs that are post-ESSENTIAL that could fit onto CD2 (1994 - 2007)?  I think it should most definitely be allowed to use songs from the REMIX releases, as there are some amazing songs there - especially from 'Hands on Yello' and 'Eccentrix Remixes' for CD2.

I haven't had any time to think about this, but here's the tracklisting I have on the tapes (yes, tapes) for my car. At 90 minutes per tape it's a bit long for two CDs... maybe 2x 2CDs (I could then throw in a few more bonus songs). Astute readers will note that 3rd party remixes have been banned from these tapes!

Side 1

Night Flanger

Blue Green

Eternal Legs (very rough cut at the end)

Ouad El Habib

Desire For Desire

Lost Again

No More Words

Crash Dance

Heavy Whispers

Base For Alec

Oh Yeah

Desert Inn

Side 2

Sometimes (Dr Hirsch)

Let Me Cry

She's Got A Gun (Live At The Palladium NY)

Daily Disco (1985 / "New Mix" version)

Moon On Ice

Le Secret Farida

Si Seņor The Hairy Grill

Tool In Rose

Of Course I'm Lying

Otto Di Catania

Side 3

Tied Up In Red (too long for Side 2 so I moved it here)

Drive / Driven

Blender

Jungle Bill ("Essential" Edit as I couldn't fit the full length version here)

Suite 909

Night Train

Fat Cry

Celsius

On Track (with a few seconds of "Monolith" before the tape ends)

Side 4

Resistor

Houdini

Distant Mirror

Croissant Bleu

Liquid Lies

Tiger Dust (I've got no idea why I swapped Tiger and Junior - I probably recorded Tiger first by mistake and couldn't be bothered going back to fix!))

Junior B

Distant Solution

Time Palace

Unreal

... of course now a new album is coming out, I'll have to do some reshuffling (or put a CD player or iPod in the car!)
