Everyone: Here are two links explaining the fascinating story behind WHY the 1984 Carlos Peron album "Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted" is being reissued at its original speed (LP was recorded to play at 45 RPM) and with a bonus CD "at" 33 RPM. I bought this vinyl way back in 1986, but never knew that playing it at the wrong speed had become a practice among some DJs. Huh. And as for the other CDs in the series, these new bonus tracks are really gonna fill in some gaps. http://www.rykodistribution.com/artist_title.php?artist_id11319&media_id=163... http://www.darklight.co.za/55/musicshop.php?uid=45056x45060&sid=17617f35225e...
- "Nothing is true; everything is permitted" (1984) (double CD - the original album on one CD, and a second CD with the album played at 33 rpm. Someone said that Carlos' site explained why, but I couldn't find anything - anyone have the URL for the appropriate page?
