did you ever see early Tears For Fears Live, YYYYYAAAAAWWWWNNNNNN. they tried to make fun of the stack of sequencers and computer that controlled them all, by giving it a name, but it didn't help. Thomas Dolby, on the other hand blended live instruments beautifully with his fairlight, and the funky Yamaha keyboard that looks like a guitar so that he could work the stage, rather than sit behind the machine. If you're wondering where JD, front man for the NEW INXS, got the idea for using a megaphone for singing part of his songs, he got it from Mr Dolby. I saw him use it Live back in '83 or '84 in Toronto. Laurens van Graft The Grip Guy (thegripguy@rogers.com) All your gymnastics grip needs right here! PODCASTING IS CHANGING THE WORLD! Carsten,
That doesn't have a "Live" sound to me. Could of easily of been prepared for the show and then lipsynced.

Probably you`re right - I just hoped there might have been a performance I didn`t knew about and somewhere might be even a recording of great interpretations of their songs.................... I found the statement you added before and it makes sense artistically but is a bit sad from the "fan point of view" ; )
I was always curious how electronic music (or mainly electronic music) can be performed live, especially in the 80`s when not many bands where around.
