From what I can recall, this cd of samples was released for DJ's and musicians to use and not have to wory about paying additional royalties to Yello--hence the rather high price for the disc in the first place. You may remember that at the time, there were a lot of lawsuits launched by the original recording artists as large parts of their songs were sampled and or copied without the necessary royalties being paid. The best one That I remember was KD Lang setteling out of court when The Rolling Stones copied the entire melody and structure(Framing) of her song "Constant Craving" into their song "Has Anybody Seen My Baby".
