And a whole other bunch of stuff. Here's a incomplete list if interested: http://www.julzdesign.com/music/cdlist.html
Dude. Is that an /original/ superpinkymandy? Biosphere: Substrata - a favourite. The things I tell you... will not be wrong. Megasoft Office - That Juantrip track is priceless. Juno Reactor - pick up a copy of Lu-ci-ana. It's worth it. Think KLF: Space meets Lustmord: The Place Where the Black Stars Hang. L.S.G.: The Hive - very, very nice. Strongly recommended, as is The Black Album. It may be minor to you, but L&R: This Heaven [bbq-36-cd] [single] has a couple of real gems on it, specifically the Secret Knowledge Mix by... take a guess, and the Torched Mix [remixed by locust], which is more Radioactive Things That Howl In My Brain, and is Way, way Too Short. It's worth tracking down for this one alone. Curious: that N-Trance w/ Rod Stewart: Do they screw it up with their posture-rap like they did with Staying Alive? I find it to be annoying other than listenable. :( N-JOI: Mindflux.... Grr. My copy is damaged beyond playability. You, ah, wouldn't be interested in performing any archive swervices, would you? nuf:nuf - gamma disco dub - I bought this one on the spot, and their last copy, too, at a store where they were playing it over the public. The clerk didn't seem too happy to part with it, but joked "that's the risk ya run playing in store!" Orb: Auntie Aubrey's excursions &cet: The source for the original 12 minute YGSYTAE remix that just drops me to the floor every time. :) I still haven't picked up Auntie's second excursion.... is it worth the pricetag? Orbital: Lush 3 - among my most precious. Ozrics: I loved Eat Static when they first appeared, so I thought I would try the Ozrics, but just couldn't stand what I heard. Then Eat Static went sort of drum'n'bass-y, and I was out. Perhaps, however, I tried a bad one? Plastikman - I strongly recommend "consumed", and also "concept 1" - the labeling on the disk gives no indication whatsoever that this is RH/plastikman anything at all. It's just white with red dots in an array. STRONGLY recommended for major thump factor, in his inimitable style. I am fully chlorophyllically NVS of your RHK collection. Ouch! You know, you'd hate to lose all that... stuff. Just send it on over, and I'll... ah.... watch it for ya. :) Salt Tank - more = better. SETI: Pharos [2cd] - whatever happened to Terry Thamlitz [sp?] That was a fine, fine piece, and I loved how he sourced for the tracks. I thought his Human Mesh Dance was nice enough as well. Sun Electric: 30.7.94 - so precious I bought a second one Just In Case [just like I did with KLF: Space] !!! Traci Lords - Juno Reactor. Nice. I had and then lost Control, and never have replaced it. Should get on that. About the same time, when JR was bigger, they backed for Siouxsie Sioux for Stargazer, which, coincidentally, I /also/ managed to have misplaced. Or mis-loaned, ya know. Ultramarine: Nighfall in Sweetleaf - this is a little jewel I picked up on a whim, knowing little at the time. I am a human being, just like myself. More RHK wellness adaptation. Underworld: Dark & Long - and expensive and worth every penny. Vapourspace - Sweep could be seen as having been influenced by Richie Hawtin and/or Steve Stoll. It's great, alongside LFO: Advance. Of course, their debut full-length Themes from Vapourspace is a classic - still a very, very nice listen. I see you have a short list of FAX... I have a whole row of it. If you are looking for recommendations, Pete Namlook: V and Pete Namlook: Syn are top of the line, worth the heavy pricetags. the DSOTM series is good, best at the beginning. Psychonavigation 1 & 2 are also tops. And I am drooling over your W.Orbit collection. Yowza. Ha! I have that X-103: Atlantis as well. That's an obscure one, to say the least. And lastly, it seems to me that anyone who would go to so much effort to compile and post such a list, would also be one concerned with errors contained therein... so, on that note, and pardon me if I am wrong, but at the end of your list, you show a whole huge collection by some band that you list as "Yello".... Don't you mean "Yellow" It seems that's misspelled. And, are they any good? You have a lot from them, and since your tastes and mine appear to be sibling, so I wonder. :) Nice stroll. Mostly made me want to queue up some "forgotten" pieces. Rock rock on. --gcr
