Have any of you been able to access the updated Yello site? I tried www.Yello.ch and www.Yello.com. I only see a black screen with the word LOADING in the center, but nothing ever loads. It just says DONE at the bottom. Mark

" ================================== The style, design and navigation of the site has nothing to do with U2 being popular. The site is not fancy. It is simple and direct. It shows that U2 made the site to specifically for their fans. It wasn't built to show off. It was built to give the fans what they wanted. A website is an outlet for information. It would not cost a lot to create U2's site. Any certified web designer could create it. So it's not about money. Seems to me the webmaster they hired did not cater to their clients needs and build a website for the fans. Instead of practicality they went for eye candy. It's a shame.

So what do you think "rocks" about the website? In comparison look at U2's website. http://www.u2.com/index/home/ Full of content, easy to navigate. Just check out the discography. ALBUMS, SINGLES, REISSUES, COMPILATIONS, DVDS, LYRICS. The band members even give little blurbs about what they were thinking when then created each album. Thats just one section. They also have NEWS, TOURS, SOUND&VISION, HEARTS&MINDS, COMMUNITY, SHOP. You could literally spend hours on this site and not see everything and any specific info you need is easy to find and directly accessible. If this site is a 10 then Yello's site is a 3 or 4.

[Yello] the YELLO website i use Hp Pavillion dv9000, os Vista HB and Google chrome, Yello site works with no problems. I agree with Jon Kamm, quite disappointing update of the site, quite basic and dated!

I think the new website is extremely disappointing. Especially coming on the heals of the fantastic original and innovative Virtual Concert. The floating space navigation is a terrible way to navigate a site. It's slow and glitchy. It's not new or innovative. I saw that kind of stuff back in the 90's and nobody liked it then either. The website has little or no content. Once you have seen the videos from the new album what do you have? The discography amounts to a list of their albums. No track lists just titles? Once you watch the videos there is no reason at all to return to this site. Yello must have the money to be able to pay someone to make them a nice site. I don't get it. All that is needed for a successful website is Easy fast navigation Content and regular updates Historically Yello seems to never hit the mark on any of those things and now I'm sure we will have the pleasure of staring at this site for several changeless years.

Track 11 is "Trackless Deep" and Track 13 is "Electric Frame" I agree with everything except your feelings on Heidi Happy. I haven't heard a voice more suited for Yello in a long time. I really hope they bring her back on future albums. She has a Stina Nordanstam sound to her but with a friendly girl next door quality. You mentioned the lyrics on "You Better Hide " seemed to have been written for Billy Mackenzie. I think that says a lot for Heidi as she has confessed in articles that everything she sings on the album she wrote herself. That seems to say she does fit well with Yello. I didn't like any of the Jade Davies songs on The Eye. She seemed to be pushing herself to reach the mark where Heidi makes it look so easy and natural. Takla Makan for what it is is amazing. The masterful flute of Dorothee Oberlinger is mesmerizing. But the song is missing one thing. ......... "DRUMS".
