Releasing re mastered Yello on SACD? MAJOR marketing mistake. Yello enjoys a narrow enough fanbase. Release as SACD would effectively tank sales. For those of you who do not already know. I am working on trying to license (because it won't happen any other way) a compilation of Yello songs in multi-channel (5.1) surround. I already know all of the right people at the labels and mastering labs, another friend is acquaintances with Dieter. So it is just going to take some time to put it together and get all the proper permissions. If we (all of you: fans, myself included) have it our way, we'll get the support of the band and get an "authorized release" from the band (Guys) so the money coming from our pockets is substantially less. Do not worry about the marketing of this future project. That is already in place around the world. Peace all Russ

i got the russian bootleg set from someone on ebay recently that has everything from solid pleasure to zebra with bonus tracks and it sounds great and i only paid $20 including shipping.

Super Audio CD uses a new and radically different technology called Direct Stream Digital (DSD) to convert music into a digital signal that can be stored on a disc. Compared to the traditional PCM (Pulsed Code Modulation) method (the technology used for CD), DSD offers a much higher resolution by following more closely the original wave form of music. With a frequency response of over 100kHz and a dynamic range over 120dB across the audible frequency range – some 64 times higher resolution then CD - Super Audio CD offers music reproduction that reveals details you just can’t hear on a normal CD. The Direct Stream Digital™ pulse train "looks" remarkably like the analog waveform it represents. More pulses point up as the wave goes positive and down as the wave goes negative.
