For our little update this week, we feature some safety highlights for helping our neighbors out in the snow, we thank all the volunteers involved in WH events, inform residents about an increased avalanche warning, and congratulate our newest WH Councilmember, Ben Hillyard! "See" you in the new year, neighbor! ** Winter Storm Brings Increased Avalanche Warning! ------------------------------------------------------------ "As a series of storms ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) aim for the state of Utah, officials with the Utah Avalanche Center and U.S. Forest Service are warning about increased avalanche activity over the holiday weekend... The Utah Avalanche Center said the storm will create dangerous avalanche conditions on the steep mountain slopes." (KUTV ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) ) Please be so careful on the switchback trails! ** WH Santa & WH Christmas in the Park a Success! ------------------------------------------------------------ We loved watching the tree lighting at the park and it was magical as each family came outside to say "Hi" to Santa and get a little treat the week before Christmas! It takes over 4 hours to get to everyone, but it's worth the wait! A huge shout out to Santa, his elves, our Deputy Sheriff, snowplow drivers, the WH Communication Committee, the WH PTR Committee, and especially the WH Fire Department for another great year! ** Please DO NOT Push Snow Onto the Road ------------------------------------------------------------ With all the snow, it is SO important that you do NOT push snow from your property onto the public roads. It can create ice that becomes a public safety hazard for your neighbors and our snow plow drivers!
