Find out at the WH Town Hall! What are we doing about potential flooding? Hear more at the WH Town Hall! Want to give our city feedback? You should really come to the WH Town Hall. When / where? TODAY, March 14 at 7:00pm (after the City Council meeting which starts at 6pm) In person: WH City Office Zoom link ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) ID: 418 658 6561, Passcode: WH2022 ** Congratulations Sheriff Smith ------------------------------------------------------------ Congratulations to our Utah County Sheriff, Mike Smith, for winning Sheriff of the Year! We are so grateful for all you do for WH. The partnership we have with UT County for law enforcement is invaluable. (Thank you for letting us keep Deputy Dutson, too!) ** Pick up after your furry friends! ------------------------------------------------------------ WH is not as rural as it once was, so if everyone could clean up after their dogs, that would be much appreciated! A neighbor buried their dogs poop with snow yesterday, but I don't think they realize that, once the snow melts, there is still a pile of poop there. Once the snow starts melting back, I see pile after pile of poop along the roads which makes a walk less pleasant. We are all so lucky to live in a BEAUTIFUL area so let's all be good neighbors and clean up after our furry family members! ** Penny for Your Thoughts* ------------------------------------------------------------ Concerned about flooding? Take our Be Ready WH Emergency Management questionnaire ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) . Your answers will help our city's Emergency Manager, Kari Malkovich, and support team organize a quicker response to potential incidents. Interested in volunteering or more info? Contact Council Member Kari Malkovich at 801-822-9149 or Aaron Gilbert, EM Specialist, at 801-885-6254. What do volunteers help with? There are currently two divisions one focusing on community safety (neighborhood watch) and one focusing on preparedness (Be Ready Woodland Hills). When do we meet? All Emergency Management Volunteer Meetings will be the 1st Tuesdays of the month at the WH City Center. Next meeting April 4th at 7:00pm. *No pennies will be given out (even if you give us your thoughts) ** Bigtooth Maple Syrup Project ------------------------------------------------------------ Have you heard of the Big Tooth Maple Syrup project that WH is doing with Utah State University?
