But now we need to clarify that you can't park on the sides of the road (with your tires technically a hair off the asphalt). Although I love the attempt at rule following, this is still no bueno. Why? Because we want to make sure emergency vehicles can get by and according to our current ordinances, vehicles aren't allowed to be parked on not-driveways for more than 8 consecutive hours, nor ever during the hours of 1am to 5am. The only lands which are public are the roads, the park, and switchback trails. Please be respectful (and remind your kids too!) of other people's private property (and please don't ride ATVs in the park - it costs the city tens of thousands in repairs). ** Fundraiser to Support Jackson, MI ------------------------------------------------------------ After their water treatment plant was overtaken by flood waters thousands of Jackson, Mississippi residents have been without water for several days. While water pressure has been restored in most places, a boil-water advisory is still in effect (a high level of manganese and the use of lime at the OB Curtis plant). A humanitarian project has been organized in Utah to deliver drinking water to the people of Jackson. The water will be delivered to them Monday 9/12 to fill the gap between now and the boil advisory being completely lifted. Interested in helping?
