RE: [UVAA] Wolf Creek Friday Night
Rich - I'm planning on coming down to AF Canyon tonite and also plan on being at Wolf Creek Friday. After last week's skunking I'm hoping for some good weather, we got clouded out Friday night and rained out Sat. - there was a two hr. break at 2am on Sat night but I only used my binoculars as the scope was under a tarp and the scope cover and the electronics were a bit wet. I hope I can find you guys tonight, the directions are a bit skimpy :)I'll probably end up calling you if there is signal up there. See you tonight..... Anyone else planning to be up there? In the canyon you will come to a fork in the road stay to the right and follow the signs for Timpooneke. it is really easy to get there.. here is a link to a online map of the canyon. http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/uinta/maps/maps/af_canyon_rec_map7.pdf I would come tonight but being so new to astronomy I dont think I would be much help finding things in the sky with my telescope. hope the sky is clear.
