After a couple of weeks of rain and snow, it is nice to have some clear skies. If my calculations are correct, we should be able to see Io transit in front of Jupiter tonight, around 10:00 PM. The transit should last a couple of hours, and the GRS (great red - or is it pink - spot) should be visible around 11:20 or so. For about ½ hour both should be visible. Clear Skies. PS. Next Saturday (April 9) I am planning on going to the Pit 'n Pole. I'll be bringing some friends from the BYU Astronomical society. If any one wants to joins us, you are welcome. The more scopes the merrier. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
