Was Wolf Creek accessible - for a Motor Home? I have been waiting to hear if the road is open as we are planning on going up there for the 4th of July weekend. I went out to Promontory (Locomotive Flats area) on Friday, very dark skies, seeing was excellent, checked out my new Lumicon O III filter on the North American and Veil Nebulas and used some colored filters on Jupiter. We attended the OAS StarParty out at Antelope Is. Saturday night, not the best conditions but there was a great turnout of the public and everyone got some good eyepiece time at some very nice quality scopes. -----Original Message----- From: uvaa-bounces+louis.griffin=hill.af.mil@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:uvaa-bounces+louis.griffin=hill.af.mil@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Richard Tenney Sent: Friday, June 23, 2006 2:38 PM To: UVAA Subject: [UVAA] Weekend observing While I don't have any firm plans for this weekend, in case any of you want to get out, I know that there will be folks observing at the Gravel Pit tonight, and I believe there will be some observing from Wolf Creek both tonight and Saturday. There is also a big star party happening at Bryce Canyon this weekend if anyone feels like a road trip. That's what I know about, if others have observing plans this weekend feel free to share.
