I would be particularly interested in attending a workshop on eyepieces and filters. The 8th of May would work for me. Thanks. -Thad Lloyd --- Jim Gibson <jimgibson00@yahoo.com> wrote:
We are tentatively going to schedule a Moon Watch for the weekend of May 7th or 8th, and so far only John Zeigler has signed up to do a workshop on eyepieces & filters. We cant work the poor man to death. Is there anyone else that would like to take a part of that for the above-mentioned weekend? If not, I may have to ask the folks from SLAS if anyone up there is willing to come down to help out. John is very capable and very willing, but we can't stretch him too thin.
I think at the first Moon Watch I will ask for those with more than a years experience to stand up so the rest of us can see who we can ask questions of. If more people stand up than not, we may have to step up the level of our presentations.
I am assuming that people want to know the difference types of eyepieces and get some idea of what kind of eyepieces to buy for specific purposes. People will probably be interested in price ranges, how many eyepieces they need, where to get good buys, and the like.
The topic of filters will be covered and what affect they have.
We invite any suggestions as to content or question you want answered.
