I will be at SPOC the 24th so it would be great if the redo was on May 1st so I could attend also. Especially considering that night is National Astronomy day and they have a very big to do at SPOC. http://www.slas.ws you can see what they have planned for that night. Would everyone be all right with doing our Moon Watch on May 1st and doing all the workshops that night instead of over two weekends? That would be a lot easier for us. Thanks! We will start at 7:00 PM at Fort Provo just like last time. This time we ask that everybody to bring lawn chairs because we cannot guarantee we will get the pavilion. The regular season for the park is from 1 May on for making reservations. I will bring a couple of folding tables in case we end up on the lawn. The weather looks like it will be good and I will set up my Binoculars on a parallelogram so people will know where to assemble at the park. John, I still need to know if you will be available Saturday May 1st for our eyepiece workshop. If so, then I will see what it costs to reserve the pavilion at Fort Provo. I would like to get on a full moon schedule even though viewing the moon is not best at full moon. Anybody can offer there opinion or make a suggestion but my basic assumption is that most folks will want to be out star gazing when there is not much of a moon problem and the best time for us to get a workshop together is close to when the moon if full.
