I'm being offered an original Robotron 2084 for $800. The guy has owned it since 1983, and he says it's in perfect shape. I'm waiting on some pics to be emailed over later tonight so I can see more. He's selling it because he's going through a divorce and can't hang on to it. Does this seem like a fair deal? Feel free to let me know if any of you guys are interested. If I decide to pass on the offer, I can relay the info. (It's out of state and you'd have to pay some shipping). -- ---Jeff Rivera--- jeff@i4.net jar155@gmail.com jar155@yahoo.com
Looks like the last one sold on eBay went for $500 BIN. If I've learned anything from collecting over the years, its not often that you find something that is "one of a kind" and will never be offered on eBay or in the paper again. Set your own price and be patient. Jeff Rivera wrote:

-- ---Jeff Rivera--- I'm a little out of date on my pricing, but it seems like prices across the board are way down, even taking into account the usual spring/summer slump. If it's perfect, and I mean down to the last detail, $800 is an OK price. Not a "Wow, I got a great deal" price, but Robotron is an A list collector game, so you pay more. It may run more on ebay, but we are talking private deals and they go for less. Couple years ago Robo was $1400 for really nice examples, but those days seem gone. If it's a game you you really want, and it's pristine, I'd offer $600, and take it at $800 if the guy won't budge. Shipping makes it worse, and if it really is perfect he would have to at least palletize and triple cardboard with shrinkwrap to make sure it wasn't damaged. I can't play the game worth a damn, so it's not a title I'm looking for.
