Anyone buying the bumper crop of local games?
Just curious if anyone was buying up the flood of recent local games. I am out of space, yet I have picked up 2 (Pole Position and Tempest) in the last couple months, and if Jason's Space Duel is still available I'll probably buy that and put it in Pete's warehouse. Man, I told myself for years that I wouldn't cross the "off site storage" line, but it looks like I'm falling into the abyss. I've now got games at my house, work, and the neighbors. Anyone else with any recent activity to report? -- Sean McLachlan
I was considering the Asteroids Deluxe that keeps showing up on KSL. I have Asteroids, but hey, they're both great, right? I've got my Spy Hunter almost working again though, so I'm kind of focused there, though. I've managed to get the darn thing to sync, but when I power down and back up, it gets a roll that I have to manually adjust out. If I can lock that down, I'll be back to blasting the Peter Gunn theme in my game room on a daily basis. On Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 8:53 AM, Sean McLachlan <sean@lithoflexo.com> wrote:

I have been doing the same thing! But then I think "Well, the A/AD/LL kit might see the light of day soon" and I wait. It won't have the cool blue color and the background, though. Danggit, I really need an 800 square foot gameroom. -- Sean McLachlan Jeff wrote:

I finally got my grubby little hands on the Mouse Trap that I couldn't quite make a deal on for the last 3 years. I've gotta focus on getting the games I already have running, so I'm done for a little while. I suppose if a crazy deal on a 720 popped up I'd make room for it. :)

Was it the Barth Mouse Trap in Provo? Is it in good condition? Kemmer Evans wrote:

Barth? I think the sellers name was "Mr Barsh", and he was in Provo. Is that what you mean? He was selling about 7 games a few years back, and mouse trap was one of them. He wanted to sell them as a package deal, but wanted too much and we couldn't work out a deal. I bugged him for like two years about it and finally gave up. Then last week he contacted me out of the blue and finally let me have it, and for a pretty good price too. The coolest part is that I guess he had lost my contact info but found me when a google search turned up my VAPS entry! The game itself is in pretty good shape other than a small chunk missing out of the the side of the control panel. It should be easy to fix, but it's even easier to park it between two other games. :) Kemmer

Trying to get David Young to sell me his EDOT. It isn't complete, but the cabinet looks better than what I've got. Sean McLachlan wrote:

I saw that EDOT, but any chance he's willing to budge on his price? On Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:47 AM, Pete Ashdown <pashdown@xmission.com>wrote:

Hey all! I'm new! Name's Kyle, I'm a Ph.D. student at the University of Utah. I moved here from Michigan about a year ago, and had to sell off a few of my pieces. Back in Michigan, at the parents house, I still have my Asteroids, Star Wars, ROTJ, Tapper, and MAME cocktail. Bought a BZ mini here, since I need a restore project while I'm here. Also, my boss is looking to buy some games local. Kyle On Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:53 AM, Pete Ashdown <pashdown@xmission.com>wrote:
$2000 for an incomplete EDOT is way too high. I've seen fully restored going for $1500. I'm trying to talk him down.

Welcme Kyle! Sounds like you will fit in nicely around here. Are you DarkKobold (or something like that) on KLOV? -- Sean McLachlan Kyle Thomson wrote:

He's just fishing. Nothing is selling for $2000 anymore, aside from the occasional blue Computer Space. I'm sure you'll be moving it into the Xmission museum inside of a couple months. -- Sean McLachlan Pete Ashdown wrote:
