Since I was a "Big Baby" And couldn't make the 6 hour drive up, how was the Warehouse? I'm kind of sad, I bullied my little bro to pick up my games, and only got one out of it!

You did not miss anything. The good games had been cherry-picked, and everything was going "up in value" as we stood there. Gee, it was like visiting an operator. -Chris
So not much was acquired? I was amazed how much they wanted for the jukes ;) On Fri, 4 Mar 2005, Christopher Strong wrote:

There was anything good there to start with? Maybe the MK cab, but everything else was, shall we say, rough, to start with. And I had already set up $50 for non working cabs, but I think Chris H. was the only one who took a cab. What did you guys get in the way of parts? Anything good? I felt guilty about how bad things were going, so I only took the 4 Pac daughter cards and a Street Fighter II board for a friend. I hope you guys at least got some good parts for a decent price. Was this Valley Music's place at the International Center? Did they still have the Blueprint? I need a new marquee.

No, different place. This is a warehouse down on West Temple...it's been the same for at least a year. I need to show you my reproduction marquee. If you don't backlight it, it looks great. -Chris

Well, you had set up $50, but it was suddenly $100-$200 when I was trying to buy one. He kept saying he could fix this-or-that and it would be worth a fortune on ebay. Everytime I tried to talk about buying a cabinet, he wandered off and dug through the boxes of boards people were trying to buy, then told me he could fix it so it was $200. He could sell it for a fortune on ebay. When I tried to buy the boards out of a stripped cabinet, he did the same thing...but only wanted to sell me the broken boards he hauled out of the boxes...the other ones were not for sale because he could fix it and sell it for a fortune on ebay. He told me he was very nervous about you taking photos down there, because he was certain you were going to post them all on ebay (and make a fortune, I presume). Apparently stripped filthy cabs with trashed control panels and water damage are very hot on ebay.

Well, I was among the last to leave (Bert and I had to wait for David Young to finish), The guy down there complained about getting ripped off by our group. Said we did not want to pay what the stuff was worth. But I had purchased it all from The Old Guy before, and the prices had doubled on everything. You should not feel guilty. I now remember why I did not bother dealing with them before, and it has gotten twice as bad. -Chris
