Sprint 8 with canopy Star Fire cockpit Atari Nightmare Joust refurbished with LCD (I know! Heresy! It doesn't look bad though.)
Is the Nightmare working?? That is a really cool and extremely rare find!! I haven't seen one of those in XX (too many) years. Are these games you brought back or were they just shown at CAX? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pete Ashdown" <pashdown@xmission.com> To: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, July 18, 2010 4:02 PM Subject: [UtVgG] CAX highlights

Nightmare was working and playable! It was stuffed into a Tron cabinet because the controls are the same. Scott Evans (atarigames.com) found Nightmare and the Sprint 8. He has an amazing talent for finding rare games, but don't expect the roms anytime soon. :( The Star Fire was a group effort restoration. It was really cool. I never thought I'd see that one again. MAME still doesn't support Nightmare.... correct? I thought Nightmare was a really cool game (circa 198?)... does the gameplay still hold up or now just feel dated and quirky? I saw a few StarFire cockpits in southern CA years ago... but been a long time indeed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pete Ashdown" <pashdown@xmission.com> To: "Jeff Peters" <robotron4@gmail.com> Cc: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, July 18, 2010 7:40 PM Subject: Re: [UtVgG] CAX highlights Nightmare was working and playable! I thought Nightmare was a really cool game (circa 198?)... does the gameplay still hold up or now just feel dated and quirky? It was interesting. My 4-year-old was tugging on my sleeves so I really didn't get to play it in depth. It does have a unique play.
Anyone have a working Atari Road Runner System 1 rom card they'd be interested in trading/selling? thanks, jeff
