This man must be stopped!! Get your torches and pitchforks; we storm Xmission at noon. There is going to be nothing left in the tri-state area if we don't act quickly. Very nice looking game, Pete. Any interesting story behind it? Is this the find you referred to awhile back that you didn't want to jinx? Gaze into my eyes and hear the words "FREE PLAY". :-)

Yeah, I had a paranoia that everyone was descending on this guy's garage and/or he was about to put it in the classifieds. I found it via a guy who I had bought some other games from who said that he was forced to leave it behind in his grandmother's house after she died. He just didn't have a place to put it. This was several years ago, so he was skeptical that it was still there. The people who bought the house spoke Spanish only, so I went out there with a Spanish-speaking friend only to find nobody home. I figured it wouldn't hurt to peek in the garage, and when I saw it, it was like seeing Santa come down my chimney when I was five years old. We went back out there last weekend to negotiate the sale, which is when I took the picture.
Hmmmm.....yes......Free play......Pete is so smart.....Pete is so sexy...... :) I have never actually played EDOT *hangs head in shame*, but that cab is one of the coolest. Just thinking about how heavy that is makes my back hurt. (probably from moving them in the past..) I'm sure JeffP has some fond memories, too! But does it work? Nice fund!

This one has be separated at the seam, so I need to go back next weekend and disassemble the two halves. How many did you and Jeff run across?
But does it work?
It does work and its playable. The "lights on demand", LED's, and voice are all not working.
I do miss my EDOT, but I could never get it up into my basement...bummer... played really nice too. The audio was one of the best things about the EDOT version. I do know where there is an upright DOT in UT that is potentially available as well. (oh it does work...) Aside from all the ones in CA, that is only the third EDOT I've seen in UT. The first two being the one I used to have and one up at Lagoon. Good find Pete....man do I wish I had your time and space :) jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: Pete Ashdown <pashdown@xmission.com> To: Kurt Mahan <kmahan@xmission.com> Cc: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, June 17, 2002 10:10 AM Subject: Re: [UtVgG] I've been a baaaad boy

If anyone is looking for InterAct's ShadowBlade Arcade Stick for the PS2: http://gear.ign.com/articles/306/306541p1.html I found a deal on them at the local overstock.com sale. They've got a couple of stacks of them for $25 each ($60 list). I'm not much on fighting games, so I'm still trying to convince myself that it's worth $25 for something I may not use. But it sure looks cool. :-) The rest of the stuff there is really hit or miss. There are some odds & ends for older consoles like PS1, N64 & Dreamcast (cables & adapters, some joysticks & memory cards, and a few PS1 games). And there's a bunch of VHS, DVD & CDs for $3-7, but it's mostly Japanese cartoons, pro wrestling, and kung foo flicks. There was a better movie selection last month, and it looks like this is everything they couldn't unload before. :-( ----------------------------------PASTE----------------------------------- The August Overstock.com two-week warehouse store is about to begin.
