mike-gijoe in Utah County?
Does anyone know if this is Mike Poulson from Payson? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260303186965&ssPageName=A... -- Sean McLachlan MIS Manager, Quality Manager LithoFlexo grafics 801.484.8503 sean@lithoflexo.com
Yeah it is the same. Looks like he is liquidating. That isn't a bad price for the grab bag. Too bad my warehouse isn't double the size. Sean McLachlan wrote:

Would anybody be interested in a group buy fund? There's only a couple of games in there that I'd really, really want, but I'd be happy to contribute to a group effort. On Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 1:47 PM, Pete Ashdown <pashdown@xmission.com> wrote:

The problem isn't so much the price, but the storage. Jeff wrote:

That's true, what sort of square footage would it take to store that kind of haul? My dad owns a business out in West Valley and he might possibly have quite a bit of storage space as a short term solution while everybody divides up and claims their pieces of the pie. I'd also be fine paying for storage, but only if those taking part of the buy would be willing to decide quickly what they want to do with the the machines. I don't think I'd like to sit on them for years on end, but if people were serious about fixing up their keepers and what they wanted to flip, I'd be happy to arrange things to make it happen. Sean is right. Although it seems logical to take the cream and part the rest, it is a lousy business, and you'd do better just getting a fast food job. I suspect that is why Mike is liquidating. I no longer buy games unless they're spectacularly rare or in excellent condition. Sean McLachlan wrote:
The real problem is that most of these are straight up crap games. If you took everything that is even vaguely interesting you have maybe 20. The other 115 games make this a non starter in a big way. Even if you have the space who wants to deal with the logistics of moving 135 games? If anyone wants any of these, the best thing to do is contact Mike, tell him the titles we want and buy them after the auction ends. We could probably get the better ones for $100 ish each if we did 10 or more, esp if they are non working. The only thing I'd buy right now is a mini Space Invaders, working or not.

I think that Star Hawk he references looks interesting. After looking it up, I'm sure I've never seen one before. -- Sean McLachlan
If anyone grabs the battlezone for parts, I'd like to exchange cabs. My cab is an upright with no periscope attachment. Let me know what you guys end up doing! (I could make it worth someone's while - I've got TONS of bz joysticks.) On Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 5:12 PM, Kurt Mahan <kmahan@xmission.com> wrote:

Star Hawk is a fun game. Make sure to grab the Rip Off too. (might as well get both of the cinematronics games)..

I'd be interested in the APB, a Space Invaders, a Nintendo red cocktail, and possibly one or two others. I noticed that there's a Dig Dug in the picture but it's not listed, is it? On Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 7:33 PM, Kyle Thomson <K.Thomson@utah.edu> wrote:

It is, Star Hawk Vectrex was based on Cinematronics Star Hawk. Blaine S. Gardner wrote:

I don't know if it's the same, but there was a Star Hawk for the old Vectrex system.

I don't own any arcade games, due to the price they usually go for, but I'd be interested in 1 or 2 of these if they could be bought close to the opening bid ($48 each, right?) in a group buy. - Trevor Jeff wrote:

If it helps I could get interested in: - Space Invaders or Space Invaders DLX (does that mean Deluxe?) - Pole Position or Pole Position 2 - BattleZone I would defer to others interested in those machines, though. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>
