KUTV did a blurb on my collection last week. Here's the edited video: http://arcarc.xmission.com/archive/Videos%20and%20Sounds/pashdown_game_guy.a... If you can't get the sound to work, I have no advice. It seems to play fine on some people's setups and not others. MPlayer on Linux and OSX can handle it readily. On the advice of someone here at work, I went out to Fundome to find they are selling all their games. As they say in SmashTV, "Good luck! You'll need it!" The prices are through the roof. About the best thing I saw was $2200 for three Atari War uprights. They had Star Wars Trilogy for something like $5300, Gauntlet Legends 33" for $2000, Galaga/Ms.Pacman reunion for $2300. I especially enjoyed seeing their Sega 3-screen Ferrari game for $9600!! The guy was confident of his prices, "These aren't meant for basements, they're meant for making money!" Yeah, and that is why you're getting out of the money-press business? I'll check back after January after they've had time to stew. I predict desperate auction in the end.
Pete, I heard about your blurb from a friend, thanks for posting it so I can se it. On that same note, thanks for providing the arcarc service. When spies, wiretap, et al, went belly up I was bummed, but you have a lot more stuff in an "easily findable" layout. Mad Props, G. Word. It looks like Amazon is clearing out the SNK NeoGeo handheld. Is the thing any good? Having a handful of Atari Lynx systems, I never paid much attention to the NeoGeo. -- Blaine Gardner blaine@xmission.com DoD#46 UB#2 FJ1200 XR600R LT250R "Cannot run out of time. I had lunch at the SkyBox sports grill down at the Gateway today. They have a cool set up with about 15 big screens all playing different "guy related" stuff, and an arcade. I poked my head in and to my surprise found a Ms Pac/Galaga combo (not working, and with the new joystick who wants to play it anyway?), a Mario Bros. (original, and a wide body no less), PaperBoy, Donkey Kong, an Asteroids and a Nintendo Red Tent (not working). And everything but the Mario Bros was set on free play. I guess Mario still makes big dollars. :) You don't have to go into the restaurant part to get to the arcade, so if you are down there and want to kill a couple minutes I'd recommend it. To play the other games you buy a credit card. 125 credits for 5 bucks, and even the full motion big screen games only took 7 credits, with many games taking 5. It's a lot of bang for your buck. Merry Christmas! Or if you are a Pagan, a belated Winter Solstice! Does anyone have a DK harness they would be willing to sell/trade? I have a DK jr. that I am going to paint red and turn it into a fake RadarScope/DK cab, but the harness has been hacked to a VS. system. Right now I think I can salvage the cab I have, but if not, I may be looking for a solid, empty Nintendo cab, as well. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I know I have some parts of a DK harness, I'll have to check. Do you need the whole thing? -Chris
