Also, make sure the LEGS are NOT put inside the cabinet for shipping....very common thing for some to do and all it does is tear up the underside of the playfield and wiring....ugh!! As for shipping, I've used North American Van Lines to ship a pin to RI before and had great success. No crating involved, will ship insured and pickup/delivery is door-to-door. For a pin, this will run you $300-$360 from RI to here. Just make sure he covers the outside with shrink wrap, bubble wrap, cardboard, blankets, etc....just something! I usually use cardboard and then shrink wrap the whole thing. Let me know if you need any further details. later, jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kurt Mahan" <kmahan@xmission.com> To: <chris@hardys.org> Cc: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2004 12:40 PM Subject: Re: [UtVgG] Getting a game to your doorstep (But it's a Pin ;) )
On a slight tangent -- make sure the seller properly preps the game for shipping. Including pulling ALL the balls out so they don't get to bounce around breaking things (including the glass), cleans out the coffin of things that might also like to be free, looks in the head to see if all the boards have screws attaching them, etc..

Disclaimer: I'm asking about pins ;)
But I figure that shipping ought to be the same.
I've been waiting, and waiting for a pin. I now have a seller, and a by all accounts, this looks to be a good deal.
But all shipping is left up to me, and the pin is sitting in Rhode Island.
Has anyone else had to ship a pin to their locale? And if so, how did you do it?
Thanks, from the resident Collecting newbie ;)
Chris
