There was anything good there to start with? Maybe the MK cab, but everything else was, shall we say, rough, to start with. And I had already set up $50 for non working cabs, but I think Chris H. was the only one who took a cab.
Well, you had set up $50, but it was suddenly $100-$200 when I was trying to buy one. He kept saying he could fix this-or-that and it would be worth a fortune on ebay. Everytime I tried to talk about buying a cabinet, he wandered off and dug through the boxes of boards people were trying to buy, then told me he could fix it so it was $200. He could sell it for a fortune on ebay. When I tried to buy the boards out of a stripped cabinet, he did the same thing...but only wanted to sell me the broken boards he hauled out of the boxes...the other ones were not for sale because he could fix it and sell it for a fortune on ebay. He told me he was very nervous about you taking photos down there, because he was certain you were going to post them all on ebay (and make a fortune, I presume). Apparently stripped filthy cabs with trashed control panels and water damage are very hot on ebay.
What did you guys get in the way of parts? Anything good? I felt guilty about how bad things were going, so I only took the 4 Pac daughter cards and
Well, I was among the last to leave (Bert and I had to wait for David Young to finish), The guy down there complained about getting ripped off by our group. Said we did not want to pay what the stuff was worth. But I had purchased it all from The Old Guy before, and the prices had doubled on everything. You should not feel guilty. I now remember why I did not bother dealing with them before, and it has gotten twice as bad. -Chris
