Free Mirror Grinding/Polishing Machine
Hello folks, I just helped Bruce pull his mirror machine up from his basement, he was going to load it into the truck bound for the dump but I suggested he allow me to post this notice in hopes it could serve a better purpose than landfill fill. This Very solidly built Draper style machine is set up to produce up to an 18 inch mirror. FREE for the taking , must be able to load it & haul it away.I've attached a link of a photo of the machine it is... http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/BUTZ01.JPG If you are interested you can email Bruce at bmargrim@msn.comPlease pass the word, it will be off to the dump in a week or two.Peace,Roger
If nobody from the group wants it, I bet it would be a great gift for a high school. Students could have the thrill of making their own high-quality telescope. -- Joe --- On Sun, 11/14/10, Roger Butz <dutchbutz@yahoo.com> wrote:

I'm afraid that era for Bruce ended years ago. In a way it reminds me of what's happening with film photography. But in Bruce's case, he's gotten rid of his mirror grinding machine. I stubbornly refuse to dismantle my darkroom. Cheers, patrick On 15 Nov 2010, at 10:20, Chuck Hards wrote:

I'm not feeling sorry for you, Patrick. I have great darkroom equipment that I've never been able to put together - never had the room. It was all given to me years ago by a retired professional photographer and now I'm afraid I'll have to give it away. But, I miss darkroom work. There was something satisfying about processing film and making prints under a red light that Photoshop just doesn't have for me.
