For a brief moment, the memory is crystal-clear, I can see every tiny detail of the shelves, the tools, the texture of the concrete floor, the smell of the air, the telescope tube in my hands, the eyepieces in the little tin box, the exact position of the stars...and then it's gone, and I return to the present.
