I noticed that water from the Stansbury conservancy district was judged to be the best tasting in the state at a recent competition! Bryce Canyon took second place. Stansbury water will now go on to the national competition. So next time you get a drink from the fountain at SPOC, savor the experience. I'm guessing it's all that mining arsenic that gives the water it's unique bouquet. ;-)
So next time at SPOC take a big swig out of the millpond... :) patrick On 05 Mar 2013, at 06:39 , Chuck Hards wrote:

I understand the waterfowl do not taste so foul as well! 73 On 3/5/2013 4:16 PM, Patrick Wiggins wrote:

An old German who used to work for me told me of his youth in Bavaria. He said his mother would buy a large, live carp at the local fishmongers, then bring it home and put it in clean water in the bathtub for a week or so. He said that if you did that with carp, it cleaned up the fish's system, and tasted much better than cooking it fresh out of the lake. Good thing your daughter didn't hit a skunk on her bicycle... ;-) On Wed, Mar 6, 2013 at 11:01 AM, Larry Holmes <larry@kijoda.com> wrote:
Chuck, years ago, our daughter caught a very large carp up Davis Gulch at Powell. We had always taught our children to eat what they had killed, so we all partook. I like waterfoul better! 73
