Gave the scope and mount a tune up tonight and checked out the results by shooting a few pictures of random object near the southern meridian. They came out ok so I thought I'd share some of them. All pictures were with C-14 operating at f/11 (3,910 mm fl), ST-10 binned 3x3 and cooled to -25. FOV is 9' x 13'. Unguided. No special processing other than applying darks and flats. M-42. A single 5" exposure: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/M42.JPG M-1. 5 60" exposures aligned and stacked (my favorite of the night): http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/M1.JPG Horsehead Nebula. 5 60" exposures aligned and stacked (needs more exposure time): http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/IC_434.JPG Herschel H28-5. A nebula I had not heard of before but came across it will moving from M-1 to M-42. http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/H28-5.JPG patrick
