A pic I took this afternoon from the backyard, showing the sunspots that Deloy pointed out. I rotated the image 90 degrees to the left to make it jibe with the NASA one that Deloy showed us. It was with a solar filter designed for binoculars over my 400 mm. telephoto lens. The pic was with ISO200, shutter speed 1/1600 second, f/11. http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4951&g2_imageViewsIndex=1 -- Thanks, Joe
Very nice Joe, very, very nice.

After close scrutiny of your photo, I have determined that is not a sunspot. It is the USS Enterprise looking for whales. I guess Mr.Spok better check his navigation! LOL :) :) Great photo, Joe. Much better than mine of the moon last night! -Barrett -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Joe Bauman Sent: Sunday, May 06, 2012 5:13 PM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: [Utah-astronomy] today's sunspots A pic I took this afternoon from the backyard, showing the sunspots that Deloy pointed out.
