No problem Joe. I'm still a little tired from the other two nights so I may or may not go tonight My anniversary is Tuesday so I may spend the weekend with the wife. I am updating my observing lists today and this weekend though in my spare time as I found out I wasn't quite as ready as I thought. Time to put spring away, bring out summer and fall. In case anyone like Joe is wondering, the Forest Road south of Vernon we use does have its own Clear Sky Chart. It is Forest Road 006 Site 1 and here is that link: http://cleardarksky.com/c/FrstRd1UTkey.html?1 Also on my blog I posted some information on observing the OTHER supernova remnant Sh 2-091 which is just above Alberio. Charts are there as well. Well, Patrick, the "possible" supernova is much more exciting - congratulations on that! - but thanks for the ISS info, too. Since we had a lovely solar system arrangement lined up this evening anyway, I decided to post the ISS flyover on our local FB page to see if I'd get any reaction and... voila... it was a big hit! Hi Jay and Patrick -- the Clear Sky Chart says seeing will be as awful as it could be tonight. That's based on Lakeside, which is the nearest site they cover to Vernon, as far as I know. It's just not worth it to load all that gear and not be able to get a decent picture. So I have to pass on tonight, unfortunately. Thanks, Joe

Well, Patrick, the "possible" supernova is much more exciting - congratulations on that! - but thanks for the ISS info, too. Since we had a lovely solar system arrangement lined up this evening anyway, I decided to post the ISS flyover on our local FB page to see if I'd get any reaction and... voila... it was a big hit! Just so you know it is proving to be a difficult target what with it being not that bright and so close to the core of the galaxy.

Hi Jay and Patrick -- the Clear Sky Chart says seeing will be as awful as it could be tonight. That's based on Lakeside, which is the nearest site they cover to Vernon, as far as I know. It's just not worth it to load all that gear and not be able to get a decent picture. So I have to pass on tonight, unfortunately. Thanks, Joe
