New Image - NGC6820 and NGC6823 in Vulpecula
Hi all. I managed another image this week. It is an emission nebula in Vulpecula (NGC6820) with an associated open cluster (NGC6823). There is also a small planetary nebula in the lower left part of the brighter nebulosity (PLN 59-0.1). Despite the light pollution in Orem, I am getting some good results with my portable backyard setup. The Ha filter really helps cut the background light. The details of the exposure are listed with the image. I hope you enjoy it! Here is a link to the thumbnail image.. Lovely as usual; I especially like the dark nebulosity in the lower part of the image. The PNe is not obvious to me (is it the brighter "knot" of nebulosity in the lower left?). Are so many of those stars as blue as the image makes them appear? Cool image, as are your following two reprocessed images. I've got lots of great desktop backgrounds on my PC now, thanks to you Tyler! --- Tyler Allred <tylerallred@earthlink.net> wrote:

WOW, and you got some "Pillars of Creation" too. Congratulations on another beautiful image, Tyler. Now if I could get a final image anything like your thumbnail photos ... Joe
