New Image - M42 in narrowband using Hubble Palette with Borg 45ED
Hello all. I imaged again for a while last night with the little Borg 45ED scope. The moon was pretty bright, so I decided to try collecting some narrowband photons. The image includes 7 x 5 minutes each in Ha, OIII, and SII, mapped with the Hubble palette: all binned 2x2 on the camera. I cropped away the edges to get rid of the elongated stars, but the rest turned out pretty good, especially considering the scope aperture is only 1.77 inches. Take a peek! http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=5487 Cheers, Tyler
Spectacular, Tyler! Thanks, Joe PS: I still prefer the colors from the LRGB combo just because they're more familiar, but this is a wonderful view. ________________________________ From: Tyler Allred <tyler@allred-astro.com> To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Monday, November 26, 2012 10:49 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] New Image - M42 in narrowband using Hubble Palette with Borg 45ED Hello all. Tyler, this made me laugh out loud -- I had not expected that level of detail. Fabulous as usual. Can't wait to see what the new scope will produce... /R ________________________________ From: Tyler Allred <tyler@allred-astro.com> To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Monday, November 26, 2012 10:49 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] New Image - M42 in narrowband using Hubble Palette with Borg 45ED Hello all.
