Patrick, On the beacon site immediately west of Wendover: I think that site (#51) might hold some promise of the remains of an arrow or tower structure and its foundation, but I agree, from the satellite images, there doesn't appear to be anything at the site. I've hiked all over that rock pile, but never been out the track toward the site that shows on the satellite images. FYI, there is a modern microwave tower on the north side of I-80 on the same hill. As to the site south of Wendover: Unless you mean the Wendover airport beacon #52, I am unaware of anything else south of Wendover. The historians might know if that beacon tower it is still standing.
