It's a cool old movie. I saw the original about '64 and have a VHS version. Oh, L&O, you bet! How about next weekend, Saturday the 21st? Or maybe Saturday Dec.5th? I'm not available the 28th of this month, but other than that Saturday, things are fairly open. Anybody else? On Sat, Nov 14, 2009 at 3:09 PM, Joe Bauman <josephmbauman@yahoo.com> wrote:

Saturday Nov. 21 (next Saturday) at noon sounds good, so Rodger can make it. Let's stick with Lambs for this one, I couldn't find an on-line menu for Lttle America. Who else? Jim? Rich? Erik, can you make it this time? Kurt, Daniel, Patrick, Roger Butz? Anybody and everybody is welcome, you need not order liver and onions (your loss). There is a TRAX platform only a minute away. Last time the discussion centered mostly on (surprise) amateur astronomy in the area, with a few diversions. Let us know asap so I can call the restaurant and let them know how much liver they'll need to have on-hand. On Sat, Nov 14, 2009 at 10:11 PM, Joe Bauman <josephmbauman@yahoo.com>wrote:

BTW, for any newcomers, a bit of background. The Liver and Onions completely unofficial subcommittee of the Salt Lake (G)astronomical Society meets semi-regularly for lunch for the purpose of enjoying a meal of liver and onions without having to endure the slings and arrows of unappreciative spouses or significant others, joined by kindred spirits of like appetite, for the purpose of enjoyable discussion and flavorful repast. Typically centered on astronomy and the sciences, liberally sprinkled with personal ancecdotes and nostalgic reminiscence, the company is delightful and the food delicious. Our current preferred location is Lambs Cafe, 169 south Main street, SLC, starting at noon. Joe Bauman and myself are the contacts if you plan on attending, as well as ordering the liver and onions. Lambs can seat us together if we give them a reasonably accurrate head count in advance. Everyone is welcome with the only rule being that you don't disrespect the liver & onions when among the believers. We hope to see you there! [?]
And don't forget our jazzy name, c/o El Presidente Chuck: "Salt Lake Gastronomical Society" -- can't get much better than that! All welcome. Please come for an informal and delicious get-together! -- 2nd subassistant cruise director Bau. --- On Sun, 11/15/09, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote: From: Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] was Free flick Saturday -- was S&L now L&O To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Sunday, November 15, 2009, 9:38 PM Saturday Nov. 21 (next Saturday) at noon sounds good, so Rodger can make it. The engineers thought-ahead. The flubber is bolt-on, so the Cavorite swap is an easy mod. I'm looking at Adamantine bumpers in the spring. And maybe a Corbomite injector, or at least a Carbonite generator. We'll see. BTW, avoid Elephantanium. It has a very unusual property.
