Lowell and Kim are right on; the actual Wolf Creek Campsite is not the place to observe from. Great place for a restroom (if the trees don't do the trick ;-) but the horizons are nothing like you'll find on the Ridge...Duchesne Ridge that is. 1.7 miles from the campsite and .8 miles from the T-Junction (see my WolfCreek2 map at http:// homepage.mac.com/dlbennett/PhotoAlbum4.html for the topo) you will find great southern horizons and nights so dark you can see your shadow from the Milky Way. You don't camp at the Wolf Creek Forest Service campsite itself. At the entrance to the campground there is a dirt road you'll stay on for about 3.5 miles to get to the actual observing site. I can email the map and information to anyone interested. Thank you.
