And most of SLAS...... I can see the headlines now... Terrorist Outlaw Astronomers Gathering in the Dark.. When ordinary, law-abiding citizens are asleep in bed, renegade star-gazers crawl out from their hiding places, gathering in the dark isolated areas of the countryside. Lasers in hand, they plot the course of the Universe.... If you should shine a light on them, they cover their eyes and scurry into the shadows from whence they came.

Gee, I hope they don't come for the one on my gun. Jo, amatuer astronomers are a pissy lot. I've seen what happens when someone accidentally shines bright lights on a group of star gazers. The combined glare back at the light source reminds me of a scene right out of "Village of the Damned". Quoting Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com>:
The responsible astronomer will apply for a concealed/carry permit.

Well, I hope they are banned here. Otherwise Patrick might be seen pointing to each Penguin he named, that is feeding in his backyard. ----- Original Message ----- From: <diveboss@xmission.com> To: <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, April 05, 2008 5:23 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Australia may ban laser pointers
