I just checked Clear Sky Chart. Looks like clear sky tomorrow morning until 2pm. I'll be heading to the SLAS sun party. Anyone else? Bruce Hugo Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science. - Edwin Powell Hubble
With a rare Saturday off, I just might go tomorrow. I haven't been for a couple of months so I'm overdue. On Fri, Aug 23, 2013 at 4:04 PM, Bruce Hugo <bruce.hugo@yahoo.com> wrote:

I have to run a number of errands this morning, so I will just be dropping by the sun party for a little while, and not bring my equipment.
Looks like the Clear Sky Chart lied again, it's not looking good out there right now for a sun party this morning.
It's just getting worse as the morning advances. If I'm in the area while running my errands, I might stop by the park, but at this point it's not looking very likely. I finally get some time off work, and we have a deep embedded low pressure area. Rain and clouds for the next four days. Looks like the double-stacked PST will be staying in it's storage box for a while.
Rain falling at my house right now, and I'm only ten minutes from Winchester. If anybody actually showed up, they are kidding themselves. Next month.
Shhhh!! don't tell Chuck but at 10:30am there were 9 scopes set up and the sun was out most of the time. During a brief passing shower people just threw a jacket over their scope and waited it out. I can only look through one scope at a time, Daniel. I noticed the sun breaking out periodically, but as I said, I had errands that had to be taken care of before noon. Glad you had a good time and got to gloat a bit. I'm currently working on mating my HD camcorder to the PST, so the sun didn't get away from me today after all.
