Oh NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I visited it several times in mid 1980's and have a (now too small) sweat shirt from there with the dome on it. Interesting engineering with all the minute pin holes in the dome. It might have been nice once, but when I was there a few months ago, the presentation was pretty bad. Very little information content and nothing but light shows and attempts at neat graphics. I was very disappointed. I'm afraid to say that this closure won't represent much of a loss to public education of astronomy. I am looking forward to the new planetarium at Greenwich. The observatory there is run very well--full of content and history. It's been my favorite place to visit during my trips to London. I'm sure the planetarium there will also be excellent.
