Anyone using film?
Hi everyone! Anyone here still using film? I ask because I have a $295.00 lumicon Film Hypering kit that is new in the box. I am going to disassemble it and recycle it as needed unless someone here could use it. No charge, just thought I'd offer. If you are using film you are probably already "hypering" but contact me off list if you would like this kit. Steve

I still shoot film occassionally but never hypered. The fast Fuji emulsions sort of made hypering obsolete in the '90's, unless you were married to B&W. NIB? Sell it on eBay or Astromart and then use the proceeds as you see fit, rather than just sending it to the recycler as scrap. There are collectors who would pay top dollar for it. Mmmmmmmm. Wonder what catagory. Antiques? I'll let you know how it works out. If no one here wants it I'll try e-bay. Some people will buy anything. Steve Joe: Don't let them get you down........65 is the new 62.

With most of my astro friends now over age 60, I think I'm going to invest in medical manufacturers specializing in replacement hips and hearing aids.
65 is nothing IF you keep trim, happy and active I'm doing even more now (and feeling it) but love the sense that I've done what I had to do (and still do) but now I do what I want (w/i reason ;^) ) and travel more I still work w/ UHawaii, PanSTARRS,T4 AND observe from 10,000 ft on a regular basis So Joe, Buck Up and dig it!! ;^) Aloha, Yok We Rob
For some reason 65 was my hardest birthday, though its actual celebration was very pleasant. I'll buck up as soon we get a clear, no-moon night! Yokwe, Joe --- On Tue, 4/19/11, Rob Ratkowski Photography <ratkwski@hawaii.rr.com> wrote:

Joe when I turned 55 I was DEPRESSED it was like I had no purpose, did my thing, old dude, out to pasture well I finally rounded the corner and it has been great since I do at times wonder who the old looking guy in the mirror is though I also realized that I contain a wealth of knowledge and experience that I can share and now w/ another grand daughter (10mo) I get to play more and enjoy being a parent for a little while. I'll be taking Jazzlynn to the beach in a week or so, sand is digestible yes????? Aloha Rob

From the replies I have gotten already it should be a "Doosie". I'm thinking we will have a pretty good turnout. Hope to see you there. Steve

Correct. To be held at SPOC as part of SLAS's Astronomy Day activities on 7 May starting about 6:00 pm (prior to the evening star party). patrick
