Kurt, I believe I am the (local) progenitor of the Radio Telescope name for the asterism. If it wasn't Dave Bernson (he was there when I pointed out the shape), I would be curious to hear who else was calling it that. The focal point of the 'Telescope' is a 6.6 mag star to the south of Atlas & Pleione. http://1scom.net/~kjblackford/pleiadesmap.html Ally's Braid is a perfect name for it as well.
