I just read the following line on another email list I subscribe to: "On 19th March, imaging fields near Denebola I found 4 bright mainbelters (between 18.4 R and 19.4 R)." Remembering back to "the old days" (for me the 1970s) and how I had to try hard to photograph Pluto (mag 14), it just struck me as funny that today fellow amateurs are now calling 19th magnitude "bright".
