As long as he has WiFi in his cave. I doubt a Gecko could though.
Seriously the only problem with discussing SLAS on this site is that not all SLAS members or board members are on the list. It is not the best way to be heard on SLAS matters. Erik,
Are you saying its so easy... even a caveman could do it?

Great point ... do plants other than earth have surfaces we refer to as "ground"
This has come up in a few of the NASA training telecons I've participated it. "Ground" seems to be ok but "soil" and "dirt" are not. "Regolith" is the officially preferred term. patrick

I found the following link that talks about the design and construction of the flags. It states that they were made of Nylon. http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/history/flag/flag.htm Dave -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Patrick Wiggins Sent: Monday, September 07, 2009 11:56 PM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Apollo 11 flag apparently not standing Ha! The available Apollo 11 ascent video starts, I believe, several (10-20?) seconds after liftoff. The Apollo 11 audiovisual DVD I bought says that there are some people (conspiracy theorists?) that claim NASA intentionally clipped the video so that people wouldn't see the flag falling over. I think there is some hearsay that Buzz saw it fall over.
