10" f/6. The 10" is a new-in-the-box Pyrex Meade, Which Meade scope was that one for originally, Chuck? My 10" is from the old Meade F/4.5 dobs. It's a great mirror, but it's a mite fast. F/6 sounds just about perfect.

Can't say for sure, Michael. It was sold as surplus by an overstock company with an eBay seller ID. They had it listed at a set price, I made them a lowball offer, eventually we met in the middle. It is obviously unused and has been stored correctly. Not a trace of a scratch, sleek, or any coating flaw. The manufacturing date on the back of the mirror is 12/12/00, it is stamped "Meade Paraboloid" and has been Blanchard-ground I've used a 10" f/5.6 for over 25 years and I agree that right around 5.5 to 6 is an ideal Newtonian f/ratio. --- Michael Carnes <michaelcarnes@earthlink.net> wrote:
