Hi Joe, I've put a link to Rob's site on my page, http://utahastro.info . Maybe you can get to it from there. BTW, the link to the movie in the center of Rob's page takes a long time to download (the movie is something like 30+ megs). Patrick
Grrr, I keep trying, it downloads, then I get the symbol for a broken videotape. The problem is with this iMac, I'm afraid. Thanks, though! Best wishes, Joe

I'm running an iMac. It worked with Netscape, Safari and Internet Exploder. I just noticed the transit site is mirrored at: http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/hilo/MercTransit06.html If that fails, here are some URLs from the page: White light whole disk stills: http://www.astroday.net/Images/MercTrans/Whitelight.html White light movies: http://www.astroday.net/Images/MercTrans/Timelapse.html H-Alpha: http://www.astroday.net/Images/MercTrans/Ha.html 1st, 2nd and 3rd contacts: http://www.astroday.net/Images/MercTrans/Contacts.html pw
Hi Joe The site was slammed on Wednesday w/ 200 hits a minute, even the mirror site was slammed. We had high winds on Haleakala and Mauna Kea that forced me to relocate into our dome w/ only a simple alignment after I had spent weeks fine tuning the alignment to where I had to make a minor correction about once an hour. I also had a couple assistants to help w/ the guiding while I took a break, they needed LOTS more practise and that's what happened w/ my 608 images per scope (3 scopes White light whole disc, WL solar limb, WL contacts @ 1 FPS) so I have lots of corrections to do. When I finish the white light solar limb movie, I'll send you the file and it will not be 30MB. Even w/ the wind and all, it was great time, w/ some great people and a fantastically transparent day. aloha, yok weyok Rob
Thanks, Rob, I hope I'll be able to see the pics. But I don't think it is because your site was swamped. My computer seemed to download the whole thing and then acted like it couldn't play it. So I'll keep trying. Yokwe yuk, Joe
