Kurt, The private star party schedule didn't get on the Calendar after the January meeting, when it was accepted, but after the last meeting I emailed it to Ken Warner to put it on the website. Here is the schedule. Anyone with a telescope is invited: SLAS Dark Sky Star Parties 2008 May 2-3, Wedge Overlook May 30-31, Gravel Pit and/or Rush Valley June 6-7, Gravel Pit - Collimation and Filters Workshop June 25-28, Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival July 4-5, Wolf Creek August 1-2, Wolf Creek August 29-Sept 1 Capitol Reef National Park - you will be responsible for your own accommodations since this is not a public star party. We will meet at Panorama Point to view. Panorama Point has a great southern horizon and last year we were viewing objects in Fornax, Sculptor, Phoenix and Pisces Austrinus. We even saw some stars in Microscopium. September 26-27, Gravel Pit Those wishing to participate in the Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival need to email me to get volunteer forms and be put on the list for the entrance station and free camping if desired.
